braga3dprint

Terms and Conditions

By requesting a quote or ordering a piece through this site, the customer accepts the terms below in full.

Service

Print-on-demand 3D printing, made to order for each request. Every quote is worked out case by case, based on what's requested (file, link, or description), material, and quantity. There's no fixed published price list, the price is always confirmed before any production starts.

The quote is calculated based on the information provided by the customer (file, description, quantity). If the final file or the request's requirements involve significantly more material or production time than initially expected, braga3dprint may revise the quote before starting production, with the new amount always communicated and subject to the customer's confirmation.

Requests and confirmation

Sending a request, whether through the site, WhatsApp, email, or braga3dprint's social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, among others), doesn't by itself mean the order has been accepted by braga3dprint. An order is only confirmed once the quote, timeline, and delivery method have been agreed directly with the customer.

Payment and production

Payment terms (amount, method, and timing) are agreed case by case, directly with the customer, before production starts. Production of a piece only begins once the customer confirms the quote presented.

Delivery and pickup

Pickup or hand delivery, at a location and time agreed case by case, or shipping via CTT, with postage added to the quote and paid by the customer. Delivery timelines are estimates and can vary depending on workload and material availability.

braga3dprint is not responsible for delays resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including equipment failure, material unavailability, or other cases of force majeure. In these situations, braga3dprint commits to informing the customer as soon as possible and agreeing on a new timeline.

Responsibility for submitted content

By sending a file, a link, or a description to be printed, the customer guarantees they have the right to request its reproduction, whether as the author of the model, under an appropriate license, or as a legitimate personal use, and is solely responsible for any infringement of copyright, trademarks, or other industrial property rights resulting from the request. braga3dprint does not verify ownership of rights over received files and may refuse to produce content it considers illegal, offensive, or infringing on third-party rights.

Customer-supplied models

When the 3D model to be printed is supplied by the customer (own file or link) and not designed by braga3dprint, braga3dprint's role is limited to producing the piece according to the file received, without altering its design. braga3dprint takes no responsibility for design errors, incorrect dimensions, poor fit, insufficient strength for the intended use, printing difficulties or failures resulting from the model's geometry, or any other defect resulting from the original model rather than from the printing process itself. Checking whether a model is technically printable is the customer's responsibility, braga3dprint does not guarantee the printability of models supplied by third parties.

If the file has technical errors that prevent printing (for example, a non-manifold mesh, invalid geometry, or other model preparation issues), braga3dprint may refuse to produce the piece until the file is corrected by the customer. If, after being informed of the problem, the customer chooses to proceed anyway, braga3dprint takes no responsibility for any resulting print failures.

Models designed by braga3dprint

When a request involves braga3dprint creating a 3D model from scratch, for example to fulfill a request where the customer has no model of their own, copyright in the resulting model belongs to braga3dprint. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing before the order, the customer's payment covers only the use of the model and the printed piece, under the Model License, and does not transfer copyright in the design.

Print settings and supports

Unless the customer states otherwise, braga3dprint freely chooses the print settings it considers most appropriate for the model in question, including part orientation, infill percentage and pattern, wall thickness, and whether support structures are needed. If the customer has specific requirements regarding these settings, they must state them clearly in the request before production starts, without that indication braga3dprint takes no responsibility for the choices made.

Pieces are delivered as they come off the printer, including any support structures, unless otherwise agreed. Support removal is not included in the service by default, when not previously agreed braga3dprint may, at its discretion, attempt to remove them at no extra cost, without this being an obligation or implying any guarantee about the outcome, and braga3dprint is not responsible for any damage caused to the piece during that process.

When support removal is expressly agreed and paid for by the customer as part of the quote, braga3dprint guarantees that, if the piece is damaged during that process, it will reprint the piece, limited to one reprint per order.

braga3dprint does not perform any post-processing work, including sanding, painting, gluing, or assembling pieces. Pieces are delivered as they come off the printer, subject only to the above regarding supports.

Characteristics of 3D printing

FDM 3D printing has characteristics inherent to the process that are not considered defects: visible layer lines, a vertical seam line where each layer starts and ends, a rougher surface where any supports were removed, slight dimensional variance, and minor surface imperfections. The final color can vary slightly between orders, filament batches, and even within the same piece or between pieces of the same order, even when nominally the same color (for example, different shades of white on the same piece or between pieces of the same order), and may occasionally include small specks or flecks of another color. The customer accepts this variation as a normal characteristic of the process and material, not as a defect. Print failures (a piece detaching from the bed, poorly adhered layers, stringing, slight warping on large flat pieces, among others) can occur due to the nature of the process, we try to identify and correct them before delivery, but when they result from the customer-supplied 3D model, braga3dprint takes no responsibility for the outcome.

Parts produced by FDM are, by the nature of the process, more fragile in certain directions and can break under impact or stress. Choosing the right material for the intended use is always the customer's responsibility, braga3dprint may recommend a material but the final decision is always the customer's, without this implying any responsibility on braga3dprint's part for the outcome.

Multi-color pieces may show slight lines or visible transitions between colors. Pieces that exceed the print bed size may be split into several parts and glued after printing, with a visible seam expected in those cases. Neither of these characteristics is considered a defect.

Right of withdrawal

Pieces are made to order, to the specifications of each request (model, size, color, material). Under Portuguese law (Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014, art. 17), goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalized are excluded from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. Because of this, it's important to confirm every detail before approving a quote, once production has started, the piece can't be cancelled or returned for a simple change of mind.

Returns and refunds

Because pieces are produced to order and made to the specifications of each request, no returns or refunds are accepted for change of mind, for characteristics of a customer-supplied 3D model (see "Customer-supplied models"), including design errors or dissatisfaction with a result that faithfully matches the file or description provided, or for the characteristics of 3D printing described above. This policy does not affect the legal conformity guarantee under Decreto-Lei n.º 84/2021, which remains fully applicable to manufacturing defects attributable to braga3dprint.

Refusal of orders

braga3dprint reserves the right to refuse, in whole or in part, any request, namely for technical reasons, capacity, material availability, or because the requested content is inappropriate, illegal, or infringes on third-party rights, without this constituting a breach of contract.

Limitation of liability

braga3dprint commits to producing pieces with professional care, in line with the agreed request. Unless otherwise expressly agreed before the order, pieces are not guaranteed suitable for structural, safety, food-contact, or medical uses. Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, braga3dprint's liability for any damage arising from the service is limited to the amount paid for the order in question, excluding indirect damages, loss of profit, or damage resulting from misuse of the piece.

Publicity and use of images

braga3dprint reserves the right to photograph, publish, and use, for an indefinite period and for any purpose (including portfolio, social media, and marketing), images of the pieces it produces, even when they result from a specific customer request. If the customer wants a particular order kept confidential, they must request this explicitly before publication, this request is not assumed or automatic, it must come from the customer themselves. After an image has been published, the customer can still ask for it to be removed, braga3dprint will try to accommodate such requests as far as reasonably possible, without guaranteeing removal in every case.
